Woei-Chyi Chang, Phd, is a Postdoctoral research associate at the I2Safe lab at Purdue University, Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering. His research focuses on human-autonomy teaming in future construction by deploying AR/VR/MR/XR, wearable sensors, and ML/DL techniques to comprehensively understand workers’ subjective and objective behaviors during the interaction with autonomous technologies on future jobsites. Specifically, he strives to enhance trust-building, communication, safety, and inclusivity of worker-autonomy teaming within the construction industry. Woei-Chyi received his PhD in Civil and Construction Engineering, and dual master’s degrees at Purdue University, Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a concentration on computer engineering, Internet of Things, and digital twin development.
