Entrepreneurially Minded Learning in XR: A Guide for Educators in Safety Training
DescriptionThis presentation shares a simple guide for educators to plan for the design of learning experiences to be implemented through Extended Reality (XR). Traditional teaching methods, like slides and lectures, can feel passive and limit student curiosity. By using XR and the principles of Entrepreneurially Minded Learning (EML), curiosity, connection, and creating value, educators can create interactive, real-world learning that better engages students. The presenter introduces a step-by-step framework for designing learning experiences, including planning scenarios, setting clear goals, building interactive tasks, and connecting student decisions to learning outcomes. Even if educators are not XR developers, this framework helps them plan learning experiences that can later be built by XR specialists.
