Key Factors Influencing the Trust, Acceptance, and Use of Sustainable Automotive Technologies
SessionPoster Session 2
DescriptionThis study presents a systematic literature review of factors that influence the trust, acceptance, and use of sustainable automotive technologies. Using the PRISMA framework, 24 peer-reviewed articles were selected from an initial pool of 464 studies across four major databases. The review focuses on research conducted in the USA and Germany and targets publications from 2018 onward. Findings were categorized into six thematic areas: perceptions and experiences, technological factors, economic and financial considerations, cultural and social influences, infrastructure conditions, and environmental benefits. Each factor’s impact on trust and adoption was classified as positive, negative, or mixed. The analysis also considered participant sample sizes in quantitative studies to highlight research emphasis and identify gaps. This review offers insights for researchers, manufacturers, and policymakers aiming to support the broader adoption of sustainable automotive technologies.
