Make it Practical: An HFES Resource for the Everyday Practitioner
DescriptionThe HFES White Paper Dissemination Task Force (WPDTF) is dedicated to improving the visibility and accessibility of Human Factors and Ergonomics (HF/E) white papers and technical reports for practitioners. This panel session brings together members of the WPDTF and HFE professionals from government, academia and industry to explore innovative strategies for bridging the gap between academic research and practical application, showcasing real-world examples of dissemination efforts. Panelists will highlight key challenges and successes from their experiences, including mechanisms for distributing white papers, gathering feedback, and ensuring actionable insights reach the intended audience. Through this discussion, attendees will understand the current state of the WPDTF efforts and gain a deeper understanding of how to enhance the impact of HF/E resources, leveraging lessons learned to inform future dissemination practices for HFES.
